After seeing this thread I took a look around at reviews, had a look at the site for it, and then hit eBay to see how much this would set me back. I ended up buying one for £6.99, which is $11.50US but about $15NZ. Three weeks shipping is long, but given that it's been a long holiday here, and even though mail was still suppose to go through on Saturday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I didn't receive any other mail during that time and then suddenly had everything I've been expecting since last Thursday show up (including a local package which should have arrived yesterday.

I cut my children's hair, and no not with a bowl, but what made me interested in this though was how it gives you the ability to cut your own hair. I have arse length highly textured black hair in a wide variety of curls and kinks. I've called every single hairdresser in town, none of them are willing to cut my hair dry, in the natural state that it would sit in once styled. All of them want to wet my hair down so it goes straight, claiming that it's the only way to get a straight cut on curly hair. But as I pointed out to them, if the cut's straight while my hair is wet and almost dead straight, then when my hair is actually dry and coils up the cut will no longer be even remotely straight. Some of my curls lose 7 inches or more in length once dry, while others might only lose 3 inches. So, I also don't feel that you can reasonably allow for the loss of length when cutting wet and then shaping dry either. I got the usual crap about straight hair being easier, better, less maintenance, blah blah blah, than curly hair ... so, not, interested.

I used this to trip my daughters bangs this morning, and it was very simple and easy to use giving very good results. I gave my sons hair a trim, he has a long layered cut with chin length side swept bangs, and it was very easy to work with. It made it super easy for me to hold onto the section of hair I wanted, and to keep it straight. Something which tends to be difficult with kids, but this made it so easy that I got done trimming his hair in half the time it would normally take me.

I've yet to try this on my own hair for an actual cut/shape, but I did use it to give my ends a trim. It allowed me to hold my curls in place while I snipped each of them in the right place for that curl. I was very pleased with the results, much better than any trim I've ever had at a hairdressers. I will probably give myself more of an actual cut at some point in the future now I have something like this that I can use myself to get exactly what I want.

I really want one! I cut my sister's hair and I did a pretty darn good job, but it took me over an hour because she has alot of hair..I was hoping this would save some time..I agree that I can not find it for less than $30..I try your suggestion lolli..thanks for the review

Wanted to update and say I got mine a few days ago, and I LOVE it! While it's not the actual creaclip, it's basically the same thing, though the clasp on it is a POS...anyways, I works fantastically well for my sh!t ton thick hair. I now actually have LAYERS in my hair, which I haven't had since high school! I ended up cuting about 2" of length from the longest layer, and probably about 6" for the shortest layer (though you really can't tell, besides the short layer). Overall I'm so happy I found this product!
