Dupes for each Naked Palette eyeshadow

Postby MrsHernandez on Sat Jan 22, 2011 8:25 pm

So, of course everyone knows of Naked Palette- I own one and I notice that I'm running out of sidecar.

Sidecar is a repromote that you only get with the palette and book of shadows 1- So, it wouldn't be wise to buy another palette *at a higher price rt now for sure* or wait for ages to get another...

So, for someone like me who is in this dilemma, what dupes would you guys recommend?

I've made a list of what I think matches Naked, but what are your dupes?

this is my list for what I could find that I think were pretty spot on, but I didn't dupe all:

virgin-
sin- MAC Naked Lunch
naked-
sidecar- this one was hard to dupe but I found a few- Too Faced Glamazon and MAC Sunnydaze Pigment
buck- MAC cork
half baked-
smog- MAC Mulch
darkhorse-
toasted- MAC Satin Taupe
hustle-
creep-
gunmetal-

Mac Style Snob is an LE item, unfortunately, and you may be able to find it at a CCO, but chances are small since it was a pretty popular color (though it doesn't hurt to check).

Burberry Rosewood is about the same intensity, though it doesn't seem to have the slight pinkish undertone that Style Snob and Sidecar have. Here are some swatches:

Of course, swatches change based on skin tone, so you may find that it's close enough for your purposes.

Rosewood is much more expensive ($29 for 0.088 oz), but the Ebay listings for Style Snob are about the same, at the moment (~$28 for 0.05 oz). Reviews of the Burberry line have said that the shadows are pretty good, though I can't speak from personal experience. In the end, though, I guess it doesn't help much if you're paying $30 for one eyeshadow instead of $50 for a whole new Naked palette. ;)

Here are also some additional dupe ideas for Style Snob:

i think virgin is similar to shroom! however, i don't think toasted looks like satin taupe at all. it looks more like sable to me, since it has more of a pinky undertone.

really? I bought it because everyone was saying how similar it was to style snob and then I swatched both satin taupe and toasted together and they are nearly identical to me.

Thanks! I've seen that, but you know, some of these are hard to find so I was thinking there were other eyeshadows other than mac, like too faced or smashbox.

I find that mac's kid is a dead ringer for naked. Soba and wedge are also pretty close.

well, i after you said that i swatched them all three together. and i see how you could think satin taupe looks like it. i think that if satin taupe and sable had a baby, it would be toasted.
