But this works like a miracle with my lashes.

It doesn’t clump, it isn’t messy, it’s stays well (it’s not waterproof, but I’d say it’s quite weatherproof, and really sweatingproof too ), applies easily.. I love it.

The package is pure Illamasqua. Black, nothing too fancy, but classy and nice.

As far as I know, it’s only available in one color, and that Raven. What, raven isn’t color? Oh well, ravens are black, and so is this.

The brush is quite large, non-silicon bristles. Lately I’ve preferred the silicon ones, but this is the exception that makes the rule

This is such a gorgeous minty teal color that looks great on the lid for a subtle wash of color.  I usually wear this on the lid with a dark blue in the outer V or just a medium brown in the crease.

Atlantic Blue

The texture is finely milled and is nicely pigmented and yes, it’s bright!  It’s a cool, slightly purple, deep blue color that I would just wear on the lid.  To cut down the brightness, put a taupe or brown color in the crease.

Bitter

It is a sheer Mountain Dew colored wash. It’s one to be creative with as it’s such a bright color, but it’s such a fun eyeshadow to play with! A unique combo with this is a dark purple (like green and purple grapes )

Creme de Violet

This is one of my favorite colors ever!  I love this pink tinted purple as it goes great with so many colors!  I love putting this in the crease with a dark purple on the lid for a sexy purple smoky eye.

Electric Eel

When I think of MAC’s brightest eyeshadow, I think of Electric Eel.  You definitely have to be comfortable wearing bright eyeshadows to pull this one off, but it is a gorgeous teal blue color.  I like pairing this up with dark brown or even with Aquadisiac for a tropical  look…

If you want a nice matte finish pink that would look great for everyday looks, this one is beautiful!  I put this in the crease to blend out brighter eyeshadows, or wear on the lid for a softer look.

Goldmine

I love wearing Goldmine on the lid with a dark brown in the outer V for a date night look.  I also pair this up with teals for a tropical look- put Goldmine in the inner corner with Shimmermoss on the lid (so pretty!)

Hepcat

Another great purple color is Hepcat- it’s a violet slightly shimmery color that looks amazing on brown eyes!  (actually any eye color could rock this one )  It’s one of my favorite eyeshadows from MAC as it’s not too bright, but still is pigmented.

Humid

Humid has been my favorite color for years now!  The deep true green color goes well with so many colors- pink, tan, brown, lighter greens…  I love wearing this all over the lid for a sultry green smoky eye.  Just put some Kid or Wedge in the crease to blend it out.

Rule

My favorite finishes for eyeshadows are matte as they blend so smoothly and don’t emphasize any wrinkles (yay for getting older! *cough cough*)  This matte orange color looks great on the lid paired up with a brown for a fall look, or with pink and yellow for a fun flower look, or with purple for a funky club look.  It’s more versatile than you would think!

This is a very shimmery and pigmented light white/gold eyeshadow.  It gives a perfect glow that almost looks ‘wet’.  It’s perfect as an under the brow highlight, inner corner of the eye highlight and some even use it as a cheek highlight.

Samoa Silk

This is a really light peachy nude matte eyeshadow that works great for blending in the crease. It has good pigmentation and amazing texture-very smooth. I love how this warms up any cool toned color I put on the lid (like purples or blues)

All That Glitters

This shimmery shadow is a great one for day or nightI love the shimmer in it and it lasts all day and does not crease, also you can pair it with warmer eyeshadows for a more  sultry look. It pulls a gorgeous light neutral pinky peach with a golden sheen. It’s a veluxe pearl so the pigmentation is great and the application is smooth and easy to blend.

Kid

This matte eyeshadow is perfect for blending edges of other darker, more pigmented colors.  This light brown color works as a great transition color in the crease- its not too dark or too light.  This is my go to color for blending out a dark smoky eye.

Expensive Pink

This color is a beautiful mix of pink/gold/coral with a slightly shimmery finish. Expensive pink is a unique color that I love to put on the lid for day or night. I pair it up with Cork for the day, and Carbon or Ground Brown for night.   It is very wearable and not too bright which is great for people who want a pop of color but nothing to bright.  This is my all time favorite color

Woodwinked

Woodwinked is a gorgeous antiqued bronzey gold colour, it is shimmery but not overly so – more metallic. This color is very versatile. On an everyday basis it looks great on the lid and blended into the crease on its own or it can be used to create a sultry smokey bronzed eye for the night with darker colors. It also works great with colors like greens, purples and deep blues.

Cork

Cork is very pigmented and this product can be used for multiple purposes. It’s often used as an eyebrow powder as well as a typical crease color for neutral looks. It works well with any lid color. You can also put another deeper brown in the crease to make it look more defined and dramtic, though still have this soft light brown along with it.

Twinks

This color has a brown base with red, plum and gold tones running wild through it. A great day or night eyeshadow and looks good on every eye color and skin tone. It  looks neutral but also noticeable, also compliments most other colours. The intensity is very nice and the texture is smooth.

Ground Brown

Every girl (or guy) needs a dark brown matte eyeshadow- it’s great for smudging along the lashline to make your lashes look thicker, it turns any daytime look into a night look, and it adds dimension to any color.  I like this Ground Brown color as it is dark yet warm-like a chocolate brown color.

Satin Taupe

Satin Taupe has been a favorite by many for years! Its a really gorgeous bronze color with a greyish undertone- it is a classic and versatile smokey taupe. The trick to this shadow is layering the amount you put on your lid as it’s is extremely buildable. A light layer can give you a subtle daytime look, but pack on the color and you get a sultry smoky eye . You can come up with lots of great natural or dramatic combos with this color!

Escada Taj Sunset

I LOVE the Escada perfumes! Taj Sunset is one of my current favorites as it has that tropical scent with an undertone of mango and blood orange.  To me it smells like the orange drink “tang” (if you’re an 80′s kid, you’ll remember this yummy sweet drink )   If I could drink this perfume, I would- it really smells that good.    I wear this every weekend as it is fresh yet lasts a long time- I think it’s the ultimate summer scent.  The packaging on this is nice also- very sleek yet fun.

True Religion Hippie Chic

Next to my beloved Escada Taj Sunset, this is my favorite perfume!  When I tried this one at Ulta, I snatched it up immediately as I fell in love with the light and fresh fruit scent!  This is a great everyday scent as it’s not overpowering, smells clean, and has a slight citrus scent for a lil’ kick.  The packaging is very sophisticated and clean (minus the dumb looking charms hanging off the bottle- needless to say, I took those off right away).   Thelasting power on this is pretty good- not an all day scent, but pretty dang close.

Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling Ribbon

Although this one is more sweet than fruity, it has that berry undertone to it.  I love this one as the scent is strong enough to last all day, but not overpowering.  I wear this one a lot on weekends when I’m going out for a nice date  ooh la la!    I think Mariah had 3 different lollipop perfumes in her collection, but the “ribbon” one smelt the most fruity to me.

I think the bottle is cute- a little teenage girly feel to it, but unique with the butterfly on top (very Mariah Carey-esk)

DKNY Be Delicious

This was my first fruity perfume to get as I loved the apple like smell and the unique bottle!  It smells super fresh, isn’t too overpowering, and doesn’t have that overly sweet smell that so many fruity scents have.   This is my everyday scent as it is subtle yet clean smelling- my only complaint is it’s hard to smell unless you spray quite a bit.

Bath and Body Pearberry

I realize this is a body spray vs a perfume, but it still smells amazing and has that light fruity scent.  It smells like a yummy fruit basket!  I wear this one during the day when I want something quick and light- it even works great on the sheets or towels if you want a hint of scent throughout the house   I absolutely love Bath and Body’s scents as they are light and fresh, plus they don’t break my wallet.

Escada Ocean Lounge

I found this one at Sephora one day while shopping for makeup (of course) and fell in love with this fruity yet floral scent.  Escada is probably my favorite brand for perfumes- I’m hoping to get all  of them at some point!  ”Ocean Lounge” has a slight citrus undertone and is slightly tart which gives this a kick- it’s not overly sweet or spicy.  The staying power on this one is amazing too! I also love the clean and simple bottle- very sophisticated and easy to spot on my overcrowded dresser

Rue 21 Revert Eco

Not all perfumes need to cost you an arm, leg, and kidney so… this one is amazing and super cheap!  I found this 2 years ago while shopping at Rue 21- the bottle is still 60% full and I’ve worn it almost every week.  This one is super fresh and slightly citrusy- I can smell a ting of cucumber and orange.  The lasting power on this is pretty good and it’s not overpowering at all.  This is another perfect everyday scent as it is refreshing, light, and clean.

Viva La Juicy

Because this has been raved as one of the best fruity perfumes, me being the nosey person that I am had to go try it and find out for myself what the hype was.  I’ll admit it’s not my favorite but still one that I will wear from time to time.  I love the hint of berries mixed with subtle floral notes- the only thing is it’s fairly sweet.  The major strong point on this one:  it lasts a long time!

Britney Spears Radiance

This one to me reminds me of the Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy- fruity yet sweet.  With a mixture of berries, orange blossom, and jasmine, it has a great mixture of fruity and floral.  It also has a touch of musk which balances out the sweet.  This one isn’t my favorite perfume, but definitely worth keeping as I still love the berry and orange scent.  I would wear this one on weekends or at night as it’s not as fresh as some of the others…

Ed Hardy Women

Let’s face it, the Ed Hardy fad has come and gone so I was a bit hesitant to try this perfume… BUT, I was pleasantly surprised at how fresh and fruity this was.  It has a combination of mango, strawberry, and grapefruit so it is a bit sweet but with a hint of tang.  I bought the rollerball version so I can’t say much about the packaging, but I know the full size is a bit tacky looking.  Not sure if I would buy this one again, but it has a unique scent so it’s a nice change from my other perfumes.

My expectations were very high regarding the Too Faced Brow Envy, Brow Shaping, & Defining Kit; however I was left with mixed feelings. I adore the convienent packaging of the product as it is perfect for travel- it contains all the essential tools that you will need to shape and define your brows.

Unfortunately, I found it difficult to find a stencil that would match my eyebrows. Secondly, I was unable to find a shade that matched the colors of my brows. The brunette shade was a little too red and mixing the two shades did not produce a good match. I found that I used only the tweezers, spoolie, and brush while I left other products in the palette untouched. Although this product did not work out for me, we all have very distinct eyebrow shapes and so it would be no surprise to me that someone else will find this product to be their holy grail eyebrow shaping and defining palette.

Josie Maran Bronzing Argan Oil

I love this bronzing oil as it not only moisturizes the skin, but it gives a gorgeous bronze shimmery glow.   I wouldn’t recommend putting this on the face though as it may break you out (I’m overly paranoid as I break out easily…), but for the body, this is great!  You can even put in your hair if it gets dry after your dip in the pool

My only complaint is the price- $54.  ouch!

Stila Smudgestick Waterproof Eyeliner

This is my current favorite eyeliner- the color is gorgeous, it glides easily, and it stays put all day.  This peacock color makes my brown eyes pop!   I don’t have any complaints about it- yes the price is a bit steep, but for an eyeliner that stays put all day, it’s worth it to me.

Makeup For Ever Aqua Liner

I love these liquid liners as they come in such gorgeous colors and stay put all day- rain or shine  The felt tip is amazing- it applies in a precise line and puts on just the right amount of product.  They come in 16 different colors ranging from gold to purple to even white. My absolute favorite color is #7 which is a beautiful dark blue-purple.

My only complaint is the price- at $23, I would think there would be more product.  Most drugstore liquid liners run around $6, but they don’t come in so many colors and aren’t as pigmented.  I’d definitely buy a few more of these MUFE ones!

Yves Saint Laurent Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow

These mousse like eyeshadows are amazing and so unique!  They apply super easily and really do stay on well.  These are perfect for those days when you’re rushed or don’t feel like wearing much eyeshadow- just one swipe of color, and you’re set to go. My favorite color is “Riviera Blue”- which is a gorgeous medium blue color, and “Pink Sands” would be perfect for everyday wear.

My only complaints are I wish they came in more colors, and again- the price…  I don’t feel they are worth $30, but I guess that’s what to expect from a brand like YSL.

Revlon “Just Bitten” Lipstain

If you’re looking for a lip product that lasts all day and is super easy to apply, then lipstains is the way to go.  I love these Revlon ones as they’re cheap, work well, and come in plenty of gorgeous colors.  My favorite is “passion” which is a beautiful medium pink color that looks great on everyone.   One end of the tube has the lipstain, and the other has a lip balm.

My only complaint with these is the lip balm falls out easily.  I love the colors and the price is great.

Palladio Tinted Lip Balm

With the summer heat now here, it’s great to have a product that not only moisturizes the lips but gives a beautiful color.  My favorite is the orange one as it’s most unique  These really do moisturize well, come in beautiful colors, and are cheap!

My only complaint:  I wish there were more colors.

Elta MD UV Shield  SPF

If you plan on being outside this summer, it’s super important to protect your face from sun damage and extra wrinkles!  I love this SPF as it doesn’t break me out, doesn’t get oily, and doesn’t smell funky.  I apply this after my moisturizer and under my foundation to make extra sure that no sun rays harm my skin.

I have no true complaints on this other than the steep price- I bought mine from my dermatologist for the full retail (I learned my lesson not to do that again), but I found it cheaper on Amazon…

L’Oreal Voluminous Waterproof Mascara

Now you all probably know by now that Loreal’s Voluminous mascara is my all time favorite.  I love how well it thickens, how intense the color is, and how easy it is to apply with this wand.  I won’t walk out the door without applying a little mascara, and this one is perfect for the beach as it is waterproof!

LORAC 3D Liquid Lustre

This is probably the most unique makeup product I’ve come across in awhile- a liquid glitter that doesn’t get chunky and really does last all day.  I love how this gives a sheer shimmer to the lids- I apply with my finger just to my lids, apply some mascara and lipgloss, and I’m set for the day!

Since this is fairly shimmery, you have to apply sparingly.   No other complaints besides that!

Tarte Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse

Now I realize you’re probably thinking “Why do I need brow mousse for the beach??”  You probably don’t, but some of us have sparse or very light brows and want to fill them in before heading out the door- to work or to the beach.  This brow mousse stays on really well and looks so natural!  I love how easy it applies and how creamy it feels.  It is probably the most natural looking way to get brows.

My only complaint here is it’s hard to find (I’m hoping Tarte starts selling this at Sephora soon).

   This is a multi-purpose brush that can be used to “feather” out the outer V, blend any harsh lines, highlight under the brow, apply a light coat of paintpots as a base, or even apply concealer under the eyes.This is the most versatile brush I have come across, and I haven’t found a cheaper alternative yet. 3. MUG Deluxe Foundation Stippling Brush

4. MAC  219 Pencil Brush
   

   This brush is great for blending out harsh eyeliner, smudging shadow under the lower lashes, or creating a very defined outer V.Since the brushes are stiff, it picks up a good amount of color. 6. MUG Outer V Brush

7. Smashbox Angle Brow Brush

8. Sonia Kashuk Angled Liner Brush

Victoria Secret’s makeup often gets overlooked as let’s face it:  they’re more known for their umm… “girly clothes”.  But I have to say that I love their lipsticks!  They glide on easily, come in beautiful colors, and make my lips feel super soft.  I chose the color “Adored” as it has a purple tint to it that most pink lipsticks do not have- we’ll call the color “purply pink”

Revlon “Stormy Pink”

Out of all the drugstore lipsticks out there, I have to say Revlon has the best ones- amazingly creamy, rich colors, and a huge range of colors.  It was tough choosing just one pink lipstick as there’s so many, but I chose “Stormy Pink” as the medium warm shade will look good on just about everyone!

MAC “Girl about Town”

This classic color from MAC has been around since I can remember, and for good reason! This beautiful fuchsia color is bright but not overpowering and looks great on everyone. That must be why MAC keeps “repromoting” it every year in one collection or another (yes MAC we’re catching on to your marketing antics *cough cough*)

Wear some smudged black liner, a light application of pink blush, and this lipstick- vavavoom!

NARS Matte Lipstick “Carthage”

I will confess that I do not own many NARS lipsticks as there aren’t a ton of colors- especially for the price… BUT, I fell in love with this lipstick as it’s a gorgeous bright pink that is very flattering!  I love the texture of this also- most matte lipsticks can be dry, but this one glides easily and has a rich color.  I would wear this with a bronzey brown smoky eye

NYX “Paris”

I’m not sure why everyone boasts about NYX’s Narcissus lipstick when I think the color Paris is much prettier!  This creamy rose tinted color is rich in color but not dull looking.  It goes with just about any eye makeup and can be worn during both day and night.  This is my all time favorite lipstick from NYX

Make Up For Ever #33

Make Up For Ever just launched their Rouge Artist Intense lipstick line not too long ago and I have to say they are AMAZING.  They are super pigmented and come in 50 different colors.  They can be just a tad dry because they are so rich in color, but the colors are so incredibly intense that I don’t mind.  I love #33 as it’s a warm medium pink color that anyone can wear- day or night.  I would wear a bit more dramatic eye makeup with this as the pink isn’t too overpowering….

Maybelline “Fuchsia Fever”

I hate to say this as it makes me sound like a makeup snob, but I’ve never been really fond of Maybelline makeup… But when my Nonnie (Italian grandma ) pulled out a beautiful lipstick during our lunch together last week, I had to ask what color it was.  To my amazement, it was this  lipstick!  I went the next day and bought it.  (yes I bought the same lipstick as my 75 year old Nonnie- so sue me)  This fuchsia color really is beautiful- not too bright yet really fun color especially for summer.  And you can’t beat the price on this one.

Lancome “Pink Preview”

My latest obsession has been Lancome lip products- after falling in love with their La Laque Fever lipglosses, I had to try their lipsticks too.  They are SO creamy and rich in color!  My absolute favorite  right now is this “pink preview” as it is that perfect everyday pink:  warm shade, not too bright, and goes with any eye makeup.

MAC “Chatterbox”

Yes yes, I know I already chose a MAC lipstick on this list but I couldn’t just pick one!  Chatterbox is another classic color that looks great on everyone- it’s a warm candy colored pink that brightens your face in just one stroke.  Nicola and Paige were both trying to sneak away with this lipstick of mine (such brats).  Nicola went out and bought one the next week and has been wearing it everyday since
