New Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Colors: Mercury and Manderine

Hi MUGs! Marlena and the Makeup Geek team have been working hard to keep new colors our the Makeup Geek eyeshadows flowing. We would like to have more colors just as much as you would, but Marlena is dedicated to make sure the colors and formula is just right for each one before we start selling them.

This week, we have two new colors availible: Mercury and Manderine! We hope you really enjoy them!

Mercury

This metallic medium silver is a perfect addition to our existing lineup. As you can see from the swatches below, it fills in the gap of our white, greys, and blacks. (Buy in the Makeup Geek Store)

Manderine

This beautiful shadow is a bright orange with flecks of gold. If you like Razzleberry, this is a wonderful citrusy counterpart. (And yes, we show the upcoming Poppy and Punkin in the swatches below — but those will probably be a couple months off still) (Buy in the Makeup Geek Store)

We’re Clearing Out Make-Up Designory Eyeshadows (even lower prices!)

For those looking to get some high-quality shadows on the cheap before the new Makeup Geek shadows arrive, we’re clearing our our Make-Up Designory (MUD) Eyeshadows at about 60% off retail. Refill Pans (which fit MAC palettes) are $3.99 and Compacts are $3.99 while supplies last! These shadows are MAC quality or better, so are an excellent value.

Yes, Makeup Geek is officially starting a makeup line- it has been in the works for quite some time now! One of the first things to come out will be eyeshadows and blushes. Here’s a quick way to not only help improve our content selection, but possibly score yourself some free Makeup Geek Brushes.

All you have to do is browse through our tutorial archives pages 5 – 8 to choose your favorite older tutorials that you would like to see remade in HD with current products and also a kit to be sold in the Makeup Geek Store.

Once you have up to three selections, post them in this Facebook post (and “like” Makeup Geek) to be entered into our random drawing for 3 MUG brushes of your choice.

Once we have all the nominations rounded up, we’ll have a poll here on the site for everyone to vote on — stay tuned!

FACE Atelier Products Added to Makeup Geek Store

We’ve been working hard to bring even more high-quality brands to the Makeup Geek Store and we’re proud to add FACE Atelier to our lineup. We have a limited lineup right now, but we hope to add more colors and lines in the near future. But Marlena, FACE Atelier’s founder, Deb, and spent some time to come up with an initial lineup that would best suit the Makeup Geek audience and compliment our current lineup.

FACE Atelier Products in Makeup Geek Store

FACE Atelier Eyeshadow Pans – These eyeshadow pans are for use in palettes like MAC Pro, Make Up Designory or Z Palettes and this lineup compliments our selection of Make Up Designory shadow pans well.
FACE Atelier Mini Shimmer Shadows – If you like our MAC Pigment samples, you’ll love the value you get with these pigments. You’ll get twice as much quality pigment for the same price. There’s some beautiful colors in this lineup too.

Hi there, MUGs! We’ve had a lot of requests for Makeup Geek T-Shirts and merchandise. We’re excited about fulfilling those wishes, but we want to do it right. So we’ve been working with some designers to try to capture our personality and style. Marlena and I have been spending a lot of time going through design proposals, but we need to narrow down our options before comitting to a few. That’s where you come in.

So, to get an idea what the die-hard Makeup Geek audience would like to wear, please vote for the t-shirt design you would would like to purchase. If you don’t really think you would buy any of these shirts, please don’t vote though — it will throw off our numbers. Thanks!

We will probably only start off with three t-shirt design or so starting off, so don’t get your heart set on all of them Also, because different designs have different costs behind them, we can’t guarantee that the top vote-getters will be the ones we will have printed right away. However, your votes will be a large factor in our decision-making.
