It’s a well known fact that I’m a lipgloss junkie. I hardly ever wear lipsticks or lipliners as I spent so much dang time on the eyes, so carrying an array of lipglosses in my purse is a must! I like the NYX Mega Shine Lipglosses as they are super pigmented and uber creamy!

African Queen
This one is brighter than what I normally wear, but it looks amazing on darker skin and is a pretty purple-pink color!

Crystal Soda
For lips that look like peaches and cream, this lipgloss is the perfect color! The peach shade adds a nice warm pop to the lips, but does not look orange at all.

Dolly Pink
I think I saw Barbie carrying this lipgloss in her purse, as it’s SO her color 
I love this for a nice pop to the lips without being too tacky.

Frosted Beige
Give those nude lips a glossy kick with this color! I pair this up with a dramatic dark smoky eye to tame the whole look.

I have Gold Pink and Lollipop from buying the pre-made kits, and love them both. I also picked up Sunshine, which is really pretty.
African Queen has been on my wishlist for quite some time. I also think I’ll pick up a few of the ones in this list.

I just made my first purchase from the store but didn’t get any lipgloss’ yet.. this DEF helps me out for next time though! Can anybody tell how long things usually take to ship from the store? i’m in Oregon.
I’m pleased to say it doesnt take long at all, less than a week to Detroit, although i dont know what city they ship out from.
I got Beige recently. I ordered online and when it arrived I was so disappointed with the smell. It smelled like my toilet cleanser. Sorry, I know it sounds harsh but I was so shocked. The others I have have a cherry scent to them, which is strong but I like it anyways. This one was such a shock. I don’t understand why NYX has to make them so awkwardly scented. The texture is lovely, the feel on the lips is lovely, the shade selection is amazing, but the smell is pants!
I wonder if it was just that one that you bought, like maybe it was old or something.

I bought several NYX round lipgloss, NOT those who are teaching but and I have the same problem as you. I do not like the smell and agree that they smell like cleaner or disinfectant. I try not to put him on the lips no closer to the teeth.
I would like a demonstration of NYX round lipgloss before buying because I bought them online and the colors are somewhat different.

Hi Marlena, I have a question, a weird one I guess. I am African American and I have very full lips, I usually don’t wear lip gloss because I think my lips look even bigger with the lip gloss that I put on. I like a gloss that is creamy and not sticky. Maybe I am choosing the wrong color or something, but can you help me out please? Thanks!!
I think you should wear darker colors, cause lighter colors make your lips look bigger =) Or maybe just use darker lipstick? Cause lipgloss always makes lips look bigger.

I have purchased NYX gloss and cosmetics everywhere I could find them once I discovered them through this site. I live in Detroit and the largest selection of NYX products at the lowest prices are at beauty supply stores that are geared more toward the African American community. The prices are unbelievable compaired to ULTA. Now I DO buy them from ULTA when they are on sale, or I have a coupon, and ULTA also carries the lashes, glitter liners, and face products that i do not find in the independant supply stores. I also have purchased the gloss palettes from THE MUG STORE that I never saw anywhere else, and are some of my most favored in my kit. these supply stores have every color NYX glosses I’ve seen! The African Queen color reminds me of the makeup I wore in the mid 80′s with my big teased curly bangs, lol!

Didya know that the African Queen is also known as the American Queen lip gloss???? I got mine from my Ulta…they are both LG115. I wonder why two different names for one lip gloss???? Peculiar much.

I think the colors have different names up here in Canada because Gold Pink looks more like African Queen… its a deep fuchsia pink with some gold in it. The equivalent of your Gold Pink here is called Candy Shop. And your Frosted Beige is called Beige Pearl here.
Love them all. I’ve noticed long time ago we have similar taste when it comes to lip glosses and lipstick. I love pink lips as much as you do

Okay sooo maybe this is a stupid question, but should you match your lip liner to your lip gloss shades? If so what would work with the top ten list?
