L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara
This mascara has been my favorite for years! I love how intensely pigmented and thick the formula is. It makes my lashes look super thick and dark with just one coat. A tip to applying: scrape off the excess on the edge of the tube so it doesn’t clump.
Price: $6.00
Where to Buy: Amazon, eBay , Most drugstores
NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss – “Beige”
If you want glossy lips without the sticky feeling, these NYX ones are amazing! I’ve been using for years now, and love the wide range of colors they sell. My favorite color is “Beige” (not sure why they call it that as it’s a medium pink color- weird. ) These are the only lipglosses I’ve found that don’t cost a fortune and don’t feel tacky.
Price: $5.59
Where to Buy: Makeup Geek Store
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner
This is another product I’ve been using for years as I love how creamy these eyeliners are! Plus Urban Decay put out a wide range of colors- everything from pink to teal to intense black. The only rival brand for this creamy formula is the Milani Liquif’eye, but there’s just 5 colors. I use this 24/7 one almost everyday…
Price: $19
Where to Buy: Sephora . Amazon . eBay
Neutrogena Healthy Skin and Revlon ColorStay Foundation
Yes, yes, I know I brag about these foundations all the time. But if I love them, why not share with everyone else?
If you want a matte finish formula with full coverage, then try the Revlon Colorstay. If you want a medium coverage but dewy finish, try the Neutrogena Healthy Skin. Most of the time I mix these two for the perfect satin finish.
Price: $8-12
Where to Buy Neutrogena Healthy Skin: Amazon , eBay , Most Drugstores
Where to Buy Revlon ColorStay Foundation: Amazon , eBay , Most Drugstores
Beauty Blender
This by far is the best makeup invention in years. I know it seems like a simple product, but the size, shape, and texture of it makes for a perfect foundation application every time! The soft sponge expands when wet to provide a soft almost airbrushed look to the skin, while the pointed tip allows you to blend under the eyes and around the nose. I honestly have about 7 of these as I use them everyday for my foundation as well as blending my blush.
Price: $18

You’ve introduced me to all of these great products over the past year, thanks so much!

What is the eyeliner you are wearing on the inside corner of your eyes? It gives you the perfect look!!! I adore ur tutorials. Also, when would you have the time to make a tutorial using the Eyeshadow Starte Kit. Have a Blessing trip in Paris!!!!!!! You are sooooooooooooooo blessed to go.
Marlena, you are the greatest!! I have watched most of your videos and live by your advice. Your positive energy is a joy to watch. I share your website with everyone I know, I feel like I’m giving them an amazing gift when I do this:) You are wonderful, thanks for making me a total MUG!
Thank you for your tips. Love your videos!!!
Always have…
Great video, lovely.
I have to try Beauty Blender at some point. Have heard SO many great things about it. The things that stops me is the fact that I have so many foundation brushes…
Your top, Is adorable!!!
Hi Marlena what foundation are you wearing in this tutorial and what colour do you have it in. You have the same skin tone as me. Would really appreciate it x
I was about to order a sigma kabuki brush for foundation but seeing the beauty blender I’m wondering if I should get that instead. Is there a big difference between the two? I usually wear sheer to medium coverage foundations. Thanks for all your advice! Your the best!
I prefer the Sigma flat Kabuki for thicker foundations while i use the Beauty Blender for thinner fluids.
Marlena, my skin color is very similar to yours. Which shade of Revlon Color Stay foundation would you recommend? Buff?
Amanda,
You should get the shade after buff, called sand beige. I use it and I’m about the same color as marlena. I’ve used buff and although I am actually that white, it makes me look really washed out, where as sand beige gives a touch of warmth
Here’s my top 5…….
1. MAC Russian Red Lipstick
2. Yves Saint Lauren High Density Black faux cils mascara (top lashes)
3. Bare Minerals loose powder foundation in medium beige
4. Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer
5. Avon Cosmetics Magix Face Perfecter Primer
Where can I buy Bourjois night lip balm…..
Hey Marlena, thanks for the video, it was awesome!!
Love the simple make up look, especially the eye shadow(?) in the corner of your eyes. Can you please post what you used or film a tutorial, pretty please?? lol

Hey Marlena, would you be able to do an article about your top 5, 10, etc, for Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencils. I’m really want to get some but there is such a variety, I’m not sure where to start or which ones would be the best to get so if you can, that would be a big help

I agree that the NYX megashine glosses are the best. I’m not into lipgloss thing but when i tried these, I can’t stop buying almost all the colors. they’re not tacky and quite pigmented. I love the scent too. Revlon also does a great job on almost all their products. It can compete for all those high end brands out there. The foundation is amazing and their lipsticks also are richly pigmented..
I also have 3 of the beauty blender and they are good quality too, giving you an airbrushed finish. The only complain I can say is that, foundation can leave stain on it, and even if you clean it two or three times with a liquid cleaner, as if it is still dirty. Other than that, I love my BB.
I am using L’Oreal’s mascara. It’s just ok.
Realy good makeup ! the video is amazing
Love love love Neutrogena healthy skin makeup! Not thick and chunky like usual liquid foundations are. And what better way but to wear your skin to healthiness! Love those Urban Decay colored eyeliners too perfect to match all the bold and bright spring trends!
BEAUTY BLENDER DUPE
Walgreens carries the Soho Beauty Sponge. It’s better quality than the sucky Sonia Kashuk one, and closer to the Beauty Blender. It’s pink and shaped like a football so it has 2 corners instead of 1. Expands when wet. Soft, bouncey feel. $6-8
Thanks!!!!!!!!!
Can’t wait to try all of these amazing products!!!!!!!!
I love your blog!!
I have one blog also and I just posted amazing Mother’s day gift ideas under $100, looks and the cheerful color-blocking in Beverly Hills:

I love the Revlon Colorstay foundation; I use it every day! I’ve never used the Urban Decay eyeliner before, but a cheaper alternative to that is Maybeline. I use that and it works great for me! I’ve tried the L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara before, and it seems to work pretty well. The only thing that I don’t like about it is that it can be a little “clumpy.”
I tried the Milani liquif eye, but when I use it in my waterline, my eyes water a lot. So now I use over my eyelid and use urban decay zero, in my waterline.
I hear you rave about the beautyblender, but I don’t know how to use it :c
I have the beauty blender, mega shine gloss and ud 24/7 liner and I couldn’t agree more! R ally great products! I have a few shades of the mega shine gloss that I really like
I love the UD 24/7 eyeliner! They are really very creamy and goes on so easily. Unfortunately, they still smudge sometimes when I line my bottom lid

This is a great list of products! I personally use Revlon ColorStay Foundation almost everyday. One of my favorite foundations of all time. I keep seeing that Beauty Blender everywhere. I think I’m going to try it out.
Have you tried Mally’s eyeliners? I bought a Christmas collection with 10 colors and they are the best I’ve ever used. Sooo creamy and easy to apply, it doesn’t pull on your lid.
I’m definitely gonna try the Urban Decay, the colors look amazing. Do you recommend any of the colors to start with? Blues, purples?
