I just discover you & your videos today! I love make-up I don’t actually wear it much though, but i love to put it on other people. I have a tackle fishing box that i use to store my make-up. it was my husband idea b/c the cosmetic holder are never big enough(that I have found) & the tackle boxes are cheap & work great for make-up. I really have enjoyed the last hour looking at your videos & i have learn some good tips. Sorry, I am running on & on too much, anyway my biggest problem is foundation!!!! I have wasted soooo much money on it. I have bought alot of different brands(not all drugstore either) & I have the biggest proplem with finding the right color for me. I would be soo very excited if you could help me. I am 34 & my husband loves for me to use make-up but that is one big reason that I don’t is b/c I had a histerectomy @ 25 & i have hot flashes bad. they are getting better though, but they are worsse when i use makeup I have found some products that work better & stays on or doesn’t make me sweat as bad. But then I have an issue with the color, or can’t find that kind again. Crazy!!! i have recently purchased Mary Kay (my sis started selling it) But haven’t had the chance to really try it out. I am a stay at home mom, I have to teens 12 & 14. My 14 is wearing makeup & i want to teach her the proper way to use it, but when i have issues myself it is hard. Thank you, Jenny

hey. i just came across your utube videos the other day. I started watching and viewed your site. Im not experienced in the makeup world. I really didnt start paying attention to makeup until i worked at The Body Shop. I suck at eye makeup! i just feel everytime I apply shadows that seems like its creasing. Im probably just think it sucks bc i have no idea what im doing. i have small eyes. when watching your videos your eye area looks to smooth and flawless. what am i doing wrong or am i just so new i feel like im horrible!!! ??? lol

I started using brushes some years ago; however, I did not realize I had no clue on what brushes were the best options for applying eye make up. Your recommendations had been ‘my north’ in the sense that I now know why I need each specific brush for each specific area/need. I am an eyeshadow freak, and all I knew about its application, or that I ve learned throughout the years was through fashion magazines. Now I have Marlena as my tutor! Thanks a lot Marlena!

hi Marlena,
i wear regular eyeliner pencil under my eyes. i love the look, but it smudges at the ends and kinda runs. what should i use so i dont get that? ive tried many different kinds of pencil eyeliners. i dont like the eyeshadow liner look on me. i have red hair and very fair skin, and green eyes. thanks!
