Top 10: Best NYX Single Eyeshadows
I’ve tested, swatched, and tried just about every NYX single eyeshadow and narrowed them down to what I believe are the best 10 NYX eyeshadows!

Oh I love Morocco too! Does the color show up on your lid exactly as in the picture?
It looks more purple than on the picture. And the more you blend it, the more purple you can see. It is def. my favorite nyx eyeshadow!!!
Someday I’m gonna have to try those famous Nyx eyeshadows! But I don’t know where to get them here in Canada.
Depending where you live, you can get them in several pharmacies such as Rexall, Pharma Plus, Day/Night, Save on Foods…. Just go to NYX Canada’s website and it will provide all the stores in your area that carry NYX. I was so excited when I found them!!!
Thx for the tip, found a store not too far away from my house that sells the products! I shall go check it out today! I’m looking for good inexpensive makeup cause I’m on maternity leave so budget is tight! I’m a MAC girl, we’ll see if NYX measures up!
So I went to said store (walked all the way there with my huge belly, I’m 9 months pregnant!)… only to find out they do not sell NYX products!! Frustrating!!
@ brinksbabe: here in Canada we have neither a Rexall or Pharma plus. And none of our other Canadian drug stores carry NYX— so that honestly seriously disables us from getting our hands on some these heaven sent eyeshadows.
Not to mention everything is considerably more expensive here, one eyeshadow at Mac is nearly 19 bloody bucks in Canada!. I won’t even go into how much nars and the other high end brands are.
It sucks that we can’t get quality for cheap like with nyx.
They sell them at Guardian Drugs in Ontario.
Actually, we have both Rexall and Pharma Plus stores, among numerous other stores that carry NYX. If you go to NYX’s Canadian site, they have a list of places that sell NYX.
I live in canada(quebec), and i saw only SOME nyx eyeshadow(nothing else) in a drugstore(uniprix). Hard to find, I buy mine in the mug’s store.
If you go to NYX’s website they have a Store Locator for Canada, you will find a list by province and then its by city alphabetically….

My Save-On Foods has some Nyx stuff and I think Rexall Drugs has them too.
I even found a few NYX products at Lawtons Drugs in Canada, although it was just body glitter and a large selection of loose pearl eyeshadows.
Thanks for sharing this. Just a suggestion. I think this list would be even more useful if you could also add the reasons why you picked out this color plus some ideas how to use or what colors to pair it with. =)
I agree, I would like to know what about these colors puts them above all the others in the line.
I agree as well. It’s quite useless just to see 10 eyeshadows and nothing else. What makes these ten stand out? Colour, pigment, quality… and if the reason is quality I would also like to know if there is huge changes in that matter inside just one group of products.
I think it’s just a list of Marlena’s favorite colours…
Which one is a better dupe for MAC Humid, NYX Mermaid green or Hunter green?

Oh poo, I own over 15 NYX single eyeshadows and not a darn one I own is on this list. And it seems like all my favorites get discontinued…Like Apricot Moose and Cream Cheese:( I guess I’ll have to pick up a few from this list. I’ve had my eye on Red Bean Pie for awhile now. Guess I have an excuse now:D
No one around me carries NYX products so I order mine online from either MUG store, Cherryculture.com or nonpareilboutique.com. The latter just had a sale of 20% off all NYX.
Gotta say– I love Red Bean Pie. It is very deep purple- and I usually stick to neutrals and pinks. I’ve heard it described as deep plumy color or eggplant, whatever you call it, it is gorgeous. I love this close to lash line, blended from eyeliner to say a pink lid or applied as eyeliner with a damp brush (I did find that water did not work as well as a mixing medium with glycerin)
I am too cheap for Mac, so I mix my own using glycerin and store bought facial mist (for the preservatives– if you use water, only mix small amounts at a time and toss every week or so). 1 part glycerin, 3 parts water or facial mist.
I just ordered the Red Bean. I also ordered some of the other products from NYX; concealer and the eyebrow pencil. I traditionally use Spiked from MAC (which I love); but to be honest, I use an eyebrow pencil everyday and go through them quickly and it is getting costly. If there is an alternative of good quality, I am willing to try it.
I cannot wait for the Red Bean eyeshadow! I also like Highlight from Nyx, it is a good under the brow highlighter.

Red Bean Pie is awesome for hazel eyes. I put the Red Bean on the lid and then a dark purple matte color in the outer V and it is a great smokey eye! I love it. This is one of my favorite eye shadows. Highly recommended.
I just got me 1st order of NYX e/c and love them. Will be back for more and the blushes too.

So I went shopping today, and picked up a couple of NYX eyeshadows- partly out of curiosity and partly on a budget. One was called My Favorite Color, which I think resembles a shimmery light champagne (it actually reminds of the Vanilla Shimmer), but I’m honestly really bad at guessing colors so DON’T take my word for it. I know it’s not matte, but I really like it for a highlight! It’s a very pretty light color. The other one I picked out was Golden and it’s a gorgeous darker metallic gold color just like Marlena said!! These are my first NYX eyeshadows and I’m really happy with them, especially since one of them is on Marlena’s list
I must buy more!
I really like “Copper” even though I think “Rust” is even better!
I would have 2 agree and say that morocco is my favorite nyx color. i love it so much i bought 2 of them.
