So after having the chance to play with this palette some, I have to say that I am in love! The colors are so pigmented and gorgeous! (For swatches, click HERE)

They describe it as:
“Like a sequel to a great novel that you were sorry to see end, Book of Shadows is back with Volume II to captivate us once again. The largest and most unique palette we offer, Vol. II is stocked with 16 shadows (including 8 exclusive to this set), travel size 24/7 Eye Pencils in Zero and Bourbon, and a mini genie bottle of Eyeshadow Primer Potion. The mix of shadows includes shimmers and glitters, neutrals and brights. Build just about any look you can imagine!”
Advantages:
- Many colors in an easy to carry palette
- Great texture (not chalky at all)
- Excellent color payoff
Disadvantages:
- No matte eyeshadows
- Drawer is a little hard to open (much better the volume 1 though!)
Overall Opinion:
- I really do love this palette! The colors are beautiful, and the color payoff is amazing. The price can’t be beat considering you get 16 eyeshadows, 2 eyeliners, and eyeshadow primer for $48. I love the quality, price, and variety so I can’t complain!
- The only thing I would like to see is a better mixture of finishes- not just shimmery shadows, but some matte ones also….

I reeeeeeeaaaaaaallllllly want this palette and the set of 24 / 7 liners BUT its not available at Sephora and thats our only option here in Canada since none of the online retailers ship outside of the US

I also got my palette the week UD did a limited edition release online & have been playing with it ever since. I am so happy with it & definitely think it outshines last year’s Book of Shadows which i also own. The colors are phenomenally pigmented & unique. And i think the addition of 2 mini 24/7 liners & a mini primer potion makes this whole palette an amazing deal. I agree, more matte/satin finishes would be a plus, but i guess beggars can’t be choosers. UD hit it out of the park with this one.
I’m so happy to see another review, especially for the new Book of Shadows! I’ve thought about buying it, but I’m still not sure that I’ll use the shadows enough for it to be worth my money. I like to look at the pretty colors, though. Mmmmm.

But got the BOS2! It’s beautiful and I’m a big fan of shimmery, so this was right up my alley! Marlena, thanks for all your reviews and tuts. Oh, BTW… I’m not able to view any of your new videos on this site (have to go to youtube)? I used to have no problem. Might be something wrong with my ‘puter (?) , anyone else having trouble?? Also, I cannot log in to the site with the user name and password I had choosen. Any suggestions?

OMGoodness…I dont know what it is…I have medium/caramel skin tone and this shadows do not show up on me. I use primers and everything. I tried doing the same looks as Marlena and the colors just dont come thru the same….
Marlena….I was wondering if you could provide some good products for people of color and maybe do a tutorial on somebody thats black or something….would really appreciate it….Thanx, Luv your tuts ; )

I like this palette also, the colors are great, the shades are beautiful. I have to agree with you about is kind of hard to open but in rest I’m happy with it.

Chantal I am 40+++ and wear shimmery eyeshadows. I either wear it on my lids and matte everywhere else or as a highlight and matte everywhere else. Looks awesome!!! Just don’t shimmer up your whole eye area, pick one spot to put it. I should get it by Wednesday if not earlier! Sounds good to me! I can’t wait to see it and try everything out. I am in love with urban decay and this pallet. I have last years book of shadows and this one has more colors that i like instead of so many browns. i love the 24/7 set i just wish the liner were bigger
I went to Sephora , and i purchased this pallete, OMG i can’t describe how beautiful are the colors.
The eye shadows are super pigmented and it didn’t crease at all, i stayed the whole night with the eyeshadow and it still kept so nice and shiny
i bought the LAST one in the Ulta near me. I couldn’t wait to play with it! It did not dissapoint, I’ve been using it every day since I bought it. If it was possible to marry an eye palette, I would be engaged now!!
