NEW Urban Decay Book of Shadows: Holiday 2010
This new eyeshadow palette is due out Fall 2010, and it is gorgeous!! It has 16 shades (10 new, 6 repromotes), 2 eyeliners, and a mini primer potion. Similar to the previous Book of Shadow Palettes, it has a drawer that opens with the eye products in it, and the top opens up to reveal a mirror and pop up art representing things from NYC.
I love the packaging on this one and think it’s very creative! The colors are gorgeous- I only wish that more of the shades would be brand new or that some more would be a matte finish, but I’m still loving this palette

The Naked palette is back in stock on the Urban Decay website, it is not limited edition so therefore there is enough for all! lol As for the Book of Shadows, I believe it debuts in September and will cost between $45 and 50$. This BOS is unfortunately limited.
The BOS retails for $54 and will be available sometime after labor day on urbandecay.com. also debuts in sephora either oct. 1 or nov. 1…cant remember which one but urban decay offers free shipping with a purchase over $50

there are only 2 shadows from the alice pallete in this one so i guess you would need it. i know i do

Hi Marlena, or anyone else. What is a good drugstore liquid foundation for sensitive skin?
If you mean sensitive as in breaking out easily, I like Revlon Colorstay foundations. I actually prefer it over my MAC Studio Sculpt. It’s really light, but the coverage is great.
This is adorable and Im such a package junkie, but when I look at the color variety I KNOW I have these colors in other brands. I bought the NAKED pallete and I love it, but I was a little surprised when I revisited my NYX champaigne & caviar pallette and found that they where VERY similar. As a recessionista, I will practice some restraint and not purchase this for my own makeup wardrobe, BUT…. perhaps as a christmas gift for my daughter.
This palette is SO CUTE! But I agree with you completely about some of the shadows being repeats and I wish there weren’t so many glitterbomb shades
I just bought the Naked palette (which is GORGEOUS) so I will try and refrain myself from buying this one as well… being on maternity leave reduces my makeup budget!

I know I’ll be tempted to buy this when it ‘s finally released but.. I’m sure I won’t use it. I’m not crazy about the super glittery shades of eyeshadow. I love glitter! But, I feel way out of my comfort zone when wearing glitter on my eyes. I might just have to pass on this one..

GAWD, what is with putting “midnight cowboy rides again”? its been in almost every palette! It’s not even that great. Still buying this, but they coulda put a better e/s?

besides the 6 repromotes all the other colors seem to be similar to the old ones. I cant see purchacing this one if I already have the old one…. If I buy a book of shadows I want more variety of colors compared to the old one….. or maybe I just need to see it in person to really get a good look at the colors.
i dont have any eye shadows from urban decay, so i’ve been waiting for the book of shadows to come out since i was not able to get the alice in wonderland one. so since i’ve also had my eyes on the due eyeliner set this will be a great deal for me and everyone else whose been wanting to try something from urban decay. hope i get to buy this one lol.

I have BOS II and Alice in Wonderland palette and also ammo and sustainable palettes and I have just ordered this from UK! Not massively excited about the colours (too many repromotes and glitter) but the packaging is to die for! I’m also going to get the naked palette.. Don’t know when I became such a UD palette collector. Now I’m very annoyed that I don’t have the original BOS.
Ebay has the original BOS but its pretty pricy.

I got mine in NY on 8/28 I had such a great time at Sephora with my mom. I have using my pallet since Monday and everyone has loved every look I have done. I do wish it had more matted colors. I also have the Naked pallet and I am in loveeeee with it.

i just bought this one, and have almost every UD palette made- along with BOS 1, 2 , and alice and wonderland. the NYC BOS 3 palette is my new favorite; the colors rock! and the packaging somehow manages to get better and more innovative with every new product. I’m a definate urban decay fan for life!
p.s. if i ever come up missing- its because my bf bumped me off and sold my $1,000 of urban decay. i know, either youre thinking i have a messed up boyfriend or how in the hell did i get that much ud stuff- ebay.great for vintage ud . i’m not rich either- i just know how to work each holiday and give alot of foot massages…hehe. god i love makeup.

Not sure how it happened, but in the last 4 weeks I’ve purchased three UD e/s collections: NAKED, Ammo and BOS III. I’ve never even owned UD before, but have somehow gotten HOOKED! I might need an intervention.
I know there are a couple of dupes, like Smog and Half-Baked. Can anyone think of or remember any dupes from NAKED and Ammo that are also in BOS III? And, what colors were in the BOS I and II?
