Makeup On the Go- what to keep in your purse!

By marlena • Oct 20th, 2008 • Category: Articles & Reviews

So, I’ve been practically living in my car for the last week or two as it’s been crazy busy! And I haven’t had much time to do my makeup at home, so I’ve had to do it once I got to where I needed or had to put on in the care while hubby drived!

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has to pack makeup on the go, so thought I’d share what you should keep in your purse for those busy mornings!

Face Powder

Throughout the day, it is easy for your foundation or powder to fade a bit, so it’s good to keep a small thing of powder for those touch-ups.

I got a sample from Sephora of Makeup Forever’s HD Powder and keep it in my purse along with a small makeup sponge, and it works great! (I don’t like using sponges too much, but for touch-ups, it works ok)

If you can’t get a small size of your favorite face powder, then you can get a compact of pressed powder with a mirror and sponge applicator included.

Mascara

If there’s one thing that makes the most impact with little effort (besides concealer), I would say it’s mascara.  But… no one wants to keep a full thing of mascara, so I suggest Bourjois’ Mini Volume Glamour Mascara.  It’s small enough to keep in your purse, and works really well for thickening the lashes.

Too Faced Glamour To Go Palette

I am SO excited to have found this at my last trip to Sephora- the colors are really pigmented, the lipglosses are beautiful, and it’s the perfect size for carrying in your purse!

It includes 8 eyeshadows, 4 lip colors, and 1 blush.  The only thing you need to bring with this is a brush or two to apply- I recommend a flat shader brush or MAC’s 217 and a lip brush, and you are set to go!

With these mini versions of your favorite products, there’s no need to jam your purse with full sized items.  AND… you can do your makeup wherever you like :)

  3. this is what I usually do, pack up my lil lancome samples that I get when I buy my foundation, it really does save u alot of time, and the stress u have when digging up ur purse looking 4 something, by the way I have been using Lancome foundation for a while and it is the best foundation in the world, it looks really natural, and it doesn’t feel like u r wearing it, also when u touch ur face it feels like u r touching ur bare skin, it is kind of expensive but it is worth the money, EVERY SINGLE PENNIE, I can not possibely go back to another foundation.
