MUG Seminar/Workshop Dates
Here are the dates for the various areas that this year’s seminars will be in. I will post more details and exact locations soon!
The layout for this year will be seminar and workshop in one. There will be two sessions you can choose from: Beginner or Intermediate. (the Ann Arbor one will be just a Beginner Session and Pasadena will be just an Intermediate Session due to time constraints) Each one will be a hands on workshop- we will be focusing on eyes. There will be a few brushes that you will need to bring, but everything else will be provided for you including makeup that you can keep as well as beverages.
The cost is $100 for a 2 1/2 hour hands on workshop and seminar. Tickets will be available for purchase very soon in the store.

In the Beginner Session
I will discuss different eye shapes and how to use various techniques to enhance your eyes! I will go over what tools and makeup items you should have in your kit customized to what eye shape you have. You will then get to create the perfect smoky eye as I show you how to adjust to your specific features.
In the Intermediate/Advanced Session
I will discuss what tools and makeup you should have in your professional kit. I will tell you how to get started in Makeup Artistry, how to get your name out there, what steps you need to take to get started, and how to organize your traincase. We will go over different eye shapes and how to apply makeup properly for them. You will then create a runway/photo shoot look on yourself using more advanced techniques.
Tickets will need to be purchased in advance as there are only a certain number of seats available per session. I will post specific information, itinerary, and locations very soon!

more locations may come at the end of this year or next year, but I can only do so much traveling
I cant wait for the seminar, Pasadena is so close to me, but I wanted the begginner seminar…Looks like im going on a little roadtrip lol. Imma keep an eye out to see if you put up more locations!
There won’t be any other west coast locations for this year. The only other ones we’re really planning on is Atlanta in October.

The beginners sessions for the locations with two seminars will probably starts at about 1pm and last 2 1/2 hours or so.

Yeah, I am so happy to hear about the Ann Arbor location. Today I turn 30 and this is what I am going to ask the hubby for a ticket- Please. Not to mention I am pregnant too, and makeup tips would defiantly make me not feel so frumpy

And these dates are pretty much finalized. The were just trying to decide on a couple of the venues for each place. But the days themselves should be lined up.

IS IT FOR PROFESSIONALS OR ANYONE CAN COME?
I don’t consider myself ‘Intermediate”, however, this is the only workshop that will be held near my home. Should I still consider signing up?
Hey Marlena! I have the same question as Sylvia. I live in Pasadena, and the intermediate session is the only one available. While i may not consider myself intermediate, i do not consider myself a beginner either, but i was hoping for a begginer seminar. Do you think that i should still consider buying tix for the intermediate session? Thanks!

All the tickets are now available.
For Pasadena, don’t be too scared off by the Intermediate. I’ll try to answer any questions you have and add in some beginner stuff here and there if needed. It will be very interactive, so don’t think it will be like a hard college class where your stuck studying something you don’t understand
I’ll try to detail more about the two session types in a future video.

Before I purchase a Pasadena ticket; it says that it will be held on Sat. June 22nd- but June 22nd is a Monday! I can make it on Sat. but not on Monday, please clarify

I think the dates are mixed up. The dates for Pasadena and Vacaville say Saturdays, but the calendar says 6/22 is a Monday and 6/28 is a Sunday…Just wanted to clarify!
I also wanted to reserve one but it says saturday june 28- which is actually sunday. is it find to order it anyway? or is there a number i can call to order the ticket? thanks .

Sorry, the days of the week were wrong on a couple of them, but the dates/numbers were correct.
What if I purchase a ticket and something comes up and I am unable to make it? Will the ticket be refunded or are there no refunds? I was hoping to attend the intermediate session in NY =)
We really don’t do refunds just because it opens up the door for a bunch of potential issues.
If you order today and like something big comes up just a few days later, we can probably do a refund, but that’s about it.
So I would REALLY recommend making sure you can make it before ordering.
What brushes would we need to Have ? I’m new here and just started building my brush collection but the sooner I find out the more time I have to build my collection, thanks .

I don’t think I consider myself a beginner but I am not looking to be a Makeup Artist either. How would you suggest that we pick which session to go to? I would really like to know more about how to do my own eyes and although I may know basic techniques, would the beginner session be best for learning more specifics about how to apply my own makeup?

My daughter and I really want to attend the seminar in Pasadena but I am afraid that my makeup skills are not advanced enough to do an intermediate seminar. My daughters skills are far better than mine and this class would be perfect for her but I want to go too. I wish that Marlena was also doing a beginners class in Pasadena.
So excited you are coming to OH, ironically within walking distance from my work. Is this going to be a lot of one on one to help us achieve our best look, are you also going to help with like colors to use for our skin tones on are eyes?
